Open Micronational was a micronational forum.

The forum was started when the former GPS-Fun.com micronational forum (formerly known as "Micro-Net Index"), administered by the Northern Forest Archipelago, was forced to close due to unresolvable technical issues.

In the wake of the dissolution of the GPS-Fun.com forum the Open Micronational forum was started by Bo Register, Marquess of Mobile and Governor-General for the Dominion of British West Florida, when he realised that some members of the former forum weren't welcome at the MNO Index forum. Initial policies were created by the founder of the new forum, Lord Imperator of Imperium of DeWaCo Estates was made an admin, and Hon Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini, a frequent contributor, created several re-directs in order to avoid similar problems in the future should the forum be forced to close or migrate.

On 3 December 2007, the Open Micronational celebrated its first anniversary. On its first anniversary, the forum had 73 members, 10 of whom could be classified as active to extremely active participants. The forum also has 17 newsgroups, 12 of which have been active in the past 3 months.

On 23 August 2008, the Open Micronational Forum had to move, and it is currently both managed and hosted by the Marquess of Mobile.
