The Alliance of the Micronations, commonly known simply as the AotM or the AoM, is an intergovernmental organization aimed at promoting cooperation between unrecognized states, commonly known as micronations. The alliance describes itself to be an alliance dedicated to global peace for the benefit of all micronations. It was formed on 3 June 2021, with currently 11 member states and 3 observer states.

The administration of the AotM is separated into three bodies, namely the chairperson, the AotM Assembly and the Security Department. The chair is the highest-ranking official in the AotM administration, they have the duty to oversee all of the AotM's departments, as the charter suggests. The Assembly is the primary legislative body of the AotM, where sessions are held on a weekly basis. The Security Department is responsible for security matters both external and internal to the AotM, and the admission of members and observers.

History

Foundation

The alliance was founded by Reuben I of the Kingdom of Salanda on Thursday, 3 June 2021. After its initial foundation, the now defunct Republic of Tuse joined, becoming one of the alliances' first members.

Defunct period

The Alliance of the Micronations was defunct from 18 August 2021, but was revived on Friday, 17 September 2021.

Revival period

On 17 September 2021 the Kingdom of Salanda revived the Alliance of the Micronations by a royal decree approved by Reuben I. Between the revival and the beginning of October, the organization began rapidly spreading. By 2023, the organisation became mainly inactive which became the main issue of the 2023 General Secretary elections.
